DIY Tutorial | Superhero Mask

by Elizabeth on July 21, 2011

After posting earlier this week about a Super Hero Party, I decided to include a DIY tutorial showing how to make an easy, inexpensive superhero mask. I was able to make 3 masks for $1.50 in about 30 minutes.  They may not be as elaborate as some that you can buy, but they are affordable, easy, and can be made in any color scheme to match your party.

You will need:  felt, elastic, scissors, and a sewing machine or fabric glue.

That’s it.  You’re done.  Now give that mask to a 4 year old and go play!

[...] Making superhero masks to match your party is way easier and more affordable than you think.  I whipped up a template, bought 3 sheets of felt and some elastic at Michaels, and was able to make 3 masks for only $1.50. Granted, they aren’t as pretty as the ones you can buy, but I love having a home-made touch at a party.  You can read the entire tutorial and download a free template here. [...]
